Soused herring with spices and plums

400 g of Matjas korzenny [Spicy soused herring] produced by SEKO SA

4 medium-sized onions

200 g of California dried plums

colour pepper

a few cloves

2-3 bay leaves





Cut the onion into thin slices and pour boiling water on it. Soak the plums in boiling waters for a few minutes. 

Cut the herring into slices of 2 cm each and lay them between onion and plums. 

Sprinkle with colour pepper, add bay leaves and cloves. 

Put the dish into oil and keep in the fridge for a few hours.
